Bust of General Stefan Hubicki
The bronze bust of General Stefan Hubicki was commissioned by the Brig. Gen. Stefan Hubicki Military Medical Education Center in Lodz, Poland.
The height of the sculpture is 110cm. The author is sculptor Marcin Mielczarek, who chose a beautiful red-red patina color. The bust was created in 2018.

“Brig. Gen. Dr. med. Stefan HUBICKI was a person of particular merit to the Armed Forces and national defense. He graduated from the University of Warsaw with a degree in medicine and defended his doctoral thesis in 1925.
During the 1920 Polish-Soviet War, he was Chief of the Sanitary Service of several tactical and operational compounds. For his demonstrated valor and sacrifice, he was awarded the highest state and military decorations, including the Virtuti Militari Fifth Class Cross, the Fourth Class Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Cross of Independence with Swords and the Cross of Valor.
With the establishment of institutional forms of training for military medical services in independent Poland, he became actively involved in the process of their organization and operation. This included the Military Sanitary School, established in 1922, of which he became Commander.
After the establishment of the Officers’ Sanitary School in 1926-1928, he served as its Commander, and after the name was changed to the School of Sanitary Cadets – he commanded the school until September 30, 1929. On January 1, 1928, President of the Republic of Poland Ignacy Moscicki promoted him to the rank of Brigadier General. He was the author of many scientific works on military medicine.”
