As the municipal office explains, the presented city plan refers to the one drawn up in 1780 by the engineer Harnisz.
“A copy of it is in the museum. The certificate at the bottom states that it is a “mappa of the measurement of the City and Suburbs of Miedzyrzecz in the Great Poland”.
– The map is the aftermath of the Four Years’ Sejm, during which the deputies decided to develop the plans of all royal cities – emphasizes Ryszard Patorski, an expert in the history of the Międzyrzecki Region.
