Paper Button for the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland
A paperweight for the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. Beautifully carved by Tomasz Radziewicz a well-known and very talented sculptor from Gdansk. The sculpture was created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Legislative Sejm.
Patinated bronze. Dark bronze patina. Height 15 cm, width 8 cm depth 5 cm.
A few words about the artist.
In 1990-1995 studied at the State High School of Fine Arts in Olsztyn. From 1995-2003 studied at the Department of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, diploma in the studio of Prof. Stanislaw Radwanski in 2003. Winner of, among others, the National Competition for Small Sculptural Form and winner of the award of the City Hall of Gdansk in 2001. Scholarship holder of the Kunstakademie in Karlsruhe (Germany) in 1995. Author of monuments: Jozef Pilsudski in Gdansk Strzyza (2006)[1], John Paul II in Przemyśl (2007)[2], Remus in Koscierzyna[3], Kazimierz Deyna in front of Legia Stadium in Warsaw (2012)[4], Neptune’s fountain in the courtyard of the Quarter of Tenements in Gdansk (2012).
